1 guarantee for a georgia summer,it’ll be hot.in the opening pages of this particular summer,it’s been unseasonably hot.

friday afternoon,during the hottest wave of heat waves,our upstairs AC quit on us.the mechling gals roughed it out on the couches and air mattresses last weekend.although, im very happy to report that im currently sitting in my bed,UPSTAIRS,in a COLD room!! =D we’re so spoiled.

to celebrate this incredible luxury being restored,we voted on a day trip to helen for tubing!!or redneck yacht club activity in my book. :)

 we clambered into our trusty steed…….  

 and headed for the hills of helen!!  

i always thought north GA was very “mountain people” and rugged and rural. however,after traveling through a minute portion of this region………   

i now see why jason aldean considers this country.i mean…..  

when a hand painted coke sign crosses your path,you know youve reach the country. :) 

quick as a blink,we said farewell to country and greetings….  

to the outskirts of helen.   

good old ‘burb got us there safe and sound. :) 

fact:im a city lover.i NEED hustle and bustle.i need thousands of people living a daily routine right outside my door.i need skyscrapers glistening in the night sky.im not the kind of person who enjoys walking into a tubing place and seeing……….

deer heads on the ceiling.question,why do hunters only desire to display the head?!good golly,if youre going to display this “trophy”,why not show ALL of it off.the thinking of a city gal. :P 

one thing city gals do act is……  

choosing their favorite QBs number for a locker.what?????!!!!!!it’s easy to remember!oh,i miss the incredible mr.E soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. :*(

another thing city people dont normally do,sit in one of these……

and carelessly float down a river.plus,where would you perform this activity.the hudson or the chicago river?!?!i think not.you might get a few stares and maybe even a few policemen chasing you. :P

with some resentment in me,picked up a tube,plopped it in the flowing water,graciously sat down,and floated.amongst lazily sitting and awaiting my tube to be permanently stranded,chandler,morgan,and yours truly had a perfectly hilarious time.let’s see,i shrieked,a few times,like a small girl being chased by a bee,we may or may not have caused a wading pedestrian to faceplant into the water,i successfully made my nose touch my knees while avoiding a gum infested tree…….we had a grand time,really. :) and i nearly,almost,basically achieved my goal of staying water free.that darn final dip. :(
