remember a few weeks back when i promised fun and excitement were comin soon?!well……..it’s arrived!!!

my love/addiction to nascar……and GQ jimmie has been well documented.about a month ago,morgan and i toyed with the idea of trekking(or truckin) to Talladega Superspeedway to attend our very first restrictor plate race!when we presented this idea to dad,he was beyond sold.dad’s nascar addiction is possibly greater then mine.any opportunity to see his favorite driver(kasey kahne) roar around a track with 42 other guys in person?!there’s no second guessing….we’re going.

oh yes.we’re going to dega.

the infamous wreck,the “terrordega.” :)…….shooooooo…..jimmie missed that. :)

we’re trucking to the only place where shirts and shoes are an option. (BTW,i WILL be wearing both…..and definitely some pants. :P) 

in 5 days,chandler will be seeing him…..

am i the only one that’s humored by the fact that no 2 people in our caravan of race attendees like the same person?!5 days better whiz by.

the twitter countdown finally crossed the “less then a week” milestone,redneck week has arrived to the mechling household.another well documented fact about yours truely:im not,i repeat NOT a country bumpkin kinda girl.but somehow im a nascar addict.yes,im twisted. :P in order to get into this hicksville mood,im in need of some assistance.this just isnt any old race were attending,it’s TALLADEGA!!!talladega,the place where JR nation flocks to from all over the country.if you know anything about nascar,then you know that JR fans are…….well………special ;) people.as i pondered this redneck-less dilema,i considered downloading some country music.let’s just say,poor macster has to endure a TON of pickin’ an-a grinnin’ with a side of twangin’ music for the next few days.did i mention the new non-NYC background?!  

poor macster buddy.he’s really suffering. 

so from here till sunday,each day’s motto shall be “embrace your inner redneck.” any suggestions of how to do this?!

purchase some overalls?!

top my head with a cowboy hat and shod my feet with cowboy boots?!

take a ride on a big green tractor?!

shall i put my toes in the water,butt in the sand?!?!
